About

Following art school training my working life has always been about visual communication. I was a graphic designer and then a creative director, eventually setting up my own company. Throughout both my design work and my painting, the enduring inspiration for me is colour and light and how they can evoke a mood.

In my painting practice, I lean towards bold, colourful abstracts inspired by what I see around me but I have always enjoyed and kept up with observational sketching and watercolour painting. There are endless subjects that inspire me but whether it is a tiny insect or a big sky, it always comes back to the thrill of putting paint on paper and the exciting juxtapositions of colours.
