Over the last few years, I have become very concerned by the severe decline in the insect population. I wanted to show the fascinating diversity of insects; in shape, size, pattern and colour, in the hope, it would help raise awareness of what we are losing. These paintings of insects, while representational are the start of an ongoing experiment to capture the natural world in a more expressive way.
